What: Members of the Senate Children and Youth Committee, Senate Education Committee,
House Education – K-12 Vocational-Technical Institutions Subcommittee, and House
Aging, Children & Youth, and Military & Legislative Affairs – Children and Youth
Subcommittee will tour the new education building at the Arkansas Juvenile Assessment
and Treatment Center near Alexander and then hold a joint meeting. The building was paid
for using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funds.

Directions from Little Rock — Drive west on Interstate 30. Take the Alexander County Line
exit. Veer to the right. You will come to a dead end at Arkansas Highway 5 (you should be
facing a cemetery). Make a left. Take a right on Woody Drive.
Video and still cameras will be allowed, though the faces of children at the facility
cannot be shown.
