Thomas Tarpley serves as the Interim Director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS), a Medicaid division. In this role, he oversees services and supports for beneficiaries with intellectual/developmental disabilities and delays. Programs include day treatment programs for children and adults, community-based programs, applied behavior analysis for children with Autism, 24-hour care in Intermediate Care Facilities, a program for children with chronic health care needs, as well as occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy. Prior to becoming the Director in November of 2023, Thomas served in roles within DDS including Deputy Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. Thomas is a graduate of Westminster College and also has an MBA in finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
