Am I Eligible for ServicesAgency Provider Certification

ARChoices in Homecare is a Medicaid program that provides home and community-based services for adults ages 21 through 64 with a physical disability, and for seniors age 65 or older.

These services can help with everyday activities you may no longer be able to do on your own—such as bathing, dressing, moving around your home, preparing meals, or completing household chores.

Am I Eligible?

To qualify for for ARChoices in Homecare, you must be:

  • Age 21 through 64 with a physical disability, or
  • Age 65 or older

AND

  • Meet established financial criteria
  • Meet the intermediate level of care required for nursing home admission
  • Have a need for at least one of the available services

What Services are Available?

Attendant Care – Help with daily activities like getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, preparing meals, eating, or using the bathroom.

Home-Delivered Meals – Nutritious meals delivered to your home, either fresh each day or frozen for weekends.

Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) – A call button you can use to get help in an emergency.

Adult Day Services – Supervised care and activities during the day. For more information, call 1-866-801-3435, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Adult Day Health Services – Daytime care that includes skilled nursing services, supervision, and activities.

Facility-Based Respite Care – Short stays in a care facility, allowing your caregiver time away (e.g., for vacation or rest).

In-Home Respite Care – A trained provider stays with you at home to give your caregiver a break.

Environmental Modifications – Changes to your home that make it safer and easier to move around, such as grab bars or a wheelchair ramp.
