Michael Crump serves as the Director of the Division of Youth Services, which is responsible for the rehabilitation of delinquent juveniles throughout the State. Michael has worked in a variety of programs within the DHS, including as Director of the Office of Compliance and Integrity at DHS. In that role, he was responsible for investigating fraud and employee misconduct. During his twelve years with the Department, Michael also has served as an assistant director with Medicaid Finance, supervised the Third-Party Liability Unit, and represented the Department as an attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel. Before joining DHS in 2007, Michael served as the Criminal Justice Policy Advisor to Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Pulaski County. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in history from Arkansas State University in 1997 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2001.
