Nominations Sought For 2018 Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.– The Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Aging, Adult and Behavioral Health is seeking nominations for inductions into the Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame through April 30, 2018. There are currently 73 seniors who have received the honor. New members will be inducted during a ceremony on August 15 at the North Little Rock Wydham Riverfront Hotel at 11:00 a.m.

 

Each year the Division recognizes outstanding senior Arkansans who have served their communities and enhanced the lives of fellow Arkansas.

 

To be considered for selection to the Hall of Fame, nominees must:

 

1) Be citizens of Arkansas.

2) Be at least 60 years old at the time of nomination.

3) Have performed outstanding contributions or services, which have promoted, enhanced, and enriched the quality of life for

Arkansas citizens – especially seniors.

 

Nominations are available at any local Area on Aging or online at http://www.daas.ar.gov under "News/Events." Select 2018 Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame Nomination.

 

All forms must be submitted no later than April 30 to any local Area Agency on Aging office and forwarded to DHS by May 14.
