What: Gov. Mike Beebe, Department of Human Services Director John Selig and other state and local officials will celebrate the opening of the ACCESS Arkansas Processing Center in Batesville. The center is expected to eventually process about 30,000 applications and renewals for public assistance each month. Most of the applications are submitted by Arkansans using the Department’s new website access.arkansas.gov.

Directions from Little Rock – Take US 67/167 North to Exit 55 toward Bald Knob/Batesville. Take US
167 North to AR 367/US 167/US 64. Turn left and continue to follow US 167 signs. Turn left onto White Drive.
Directions from Jonesboro – Take State Highway 349 to State Highway 226 West. Merge on to US 67
South to State Highway 37 North. Turn right on Cord Road and then left on White Drive.
There will be opportunities for media tours and interviews with DHS officials after the ceremony.
