At the Arkansas Department of Human Services, we believe recovery is stronger with support. That’s why we’re proud to offer two free mobile apps – Connections and Companion – as part of our Peer Recovery Resources. These apps are available in both English and Spanish at no cost and are designed to support individuals in recovery and the family and friends who walk beside them.
Connections App: Support for Individuals in Recovery
Connections is a smartphone app for individuals who are in recovery from substance use disorders. It offers:
- 24/7 access to Peer Support Specialists
- A secure community for group discussions and encouragement
- Daily motivation, sobriety tracking, and virtual recovery meetings
- Tools to celebrate milestones and track progress
Whether you’re newly sober or maintaining long-term recovery, the Connections app helps you stay connected and supported between visits with your provider.

Companion App: Support for Family, Friends, and Caregivers
Companion is a mobile app designed for caregivers: family members, friends, and loved ones who are supporting someone through mental health or substance use recovery. It provides:
- A private, understanding community of fellow caregivers
- Educational resources on treatment, recovery, and medication
- Daily encouragement and guided journaling tools
- Access to discussion forums and emotional support
Caring for someone with a behavioral health condition can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone.
