What is SNAP Outreach?
SNAP Outreach is a program that connects and educates older Arkansans residing in High Eligibility Low Participating (HELP) counties, veterans, students, and other underserved individuals in rural areas.

- Correct myths and misconceptions about SNAP
- Foster understanding of eligibility requirements and application processes

Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance
- Covers all 75 counties in Arkansas
- Works as a liaison with DHS on behalf of applicants
- Created the SNAP-ARK Call Center: 833-762-7275
- Helps Arkansans apply for SNAP
- Checks the status of benefits
- Follows up with application questions
- Hosts workshops explaining the basics of SNAP (SNAP Matters)
- Offers SNAP Outreach Training Classes
- Manages a Food Purchasing Program
