The Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Medical Services Director Rose Murray Naff announced today that she plans to step down from her position at the agency in July.

“I have appreciated the opportunity to come to Arkansas and work with many talented employees on some really innovative programs,” Naff said. “I promised the DHS Director I’d spend a year here, and I have enjoyed that time, especially as it relates to improving aspects of Medicaid’s customer service to beneficiaries.”

Naff came in as DHS was re-structuring the Division so that Naff’s role would focus on the operations of the Division while Medicaid policy remained with DHS Deputy Director for Health and State Medicaid Director Dawn Stehle.

DMS Deputy Director Tami Harlan, who has been with DHS for 29 years, will serve as interim Director of the Division after Naff leaves. Her last day is July 13.
