The Department of Human Services Division of Aging and Adult Services is seeking nominees for induction into the Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame through July 1, 2016.
This is the 20th year that seniors will be honored. There are currently 70 seniors in the Hall of Fame. Each year the Division recognizes outstanding senior Arkansans who have served their communities and enhanced the lives of fellow Arkansas seniors. Seniors may be nominated by anyone.
To be considered for selection to the Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame, nominees shall:
- be citizens of the State of Arkansas
- be at least 60 years old or older at time of nomination
- have performed outstanding contributions or services which have promoted, enhanced, or enriched the quality of life for Arkansas, especially senior Arkansans.
There are two ways to obtain a nomination form. Nomination forms are available through local Area Agency on Aging (AAA). The nomination form can also be accessed on line by going to the Arkansas Division of Aging and Adult Services website.
The form will need to completed and submitted to the local Area Agency on Aging (AAA) no later than July 1, 2016. The outstanding older Arkansans will be inducted into the Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock.
