Income Limit

The family’s net income must be equal to or less than $513.00 per month regardless of family size.

Earned Income Deductions

Applicants receive a 20% earned income deduction. Recipients receive a 20% and 60% earned income deduction.

  • One motor vehicle
  • Family’s homestead
  • Household/personal goods
  • Income producing property.
  • Student loans and grants
  • Tax refunds.
  • Life Insurance
  • One burial plot per family member
  • Individual Development Accounts
  • Payments made under federal, state, or local disaster programs.
  • Up to $10,000 placed in an escrow account by a TEA recipient who is engaged in a micro-enterprise work activity.
  • Income and resources of a minor parent’s parent (TEA Unit is minor parent and child)

Cash on hand and in bank (less income received that month)
