Because caregiving can be a lot of work, we wanted to make your job a little easier. We put together a list of organizations and state agencies in Arkansas that either provide respite care or provide a funding source for respite. The resources are searchable by county.

Caregiver Training Information (Click Here)

DHS has partnered with the UAMS-Schmieding Home Caregiver Training Program to provide FREE respite training for volunteer respite providers, family caregivers, and community and faith-based groups (7.0 hours CEU may be given to Nursing Home Administrators and/or Licensed Nurses). Arkansas Lifespan Respite Voucher Program

See below for a list of approved Grantees funded through the Arkansas Lifespan Respite Grant to provide respite services for Arkansans. The purpose of this funding is to support and encourage the provision of services to additional family caregivers at no cost to the families involved through respite mini-grants. The ultimate goal is to generate actual respite for family caregivers and others providing informal care for someone of any age with a special need.
