Options Counseling

Options Counseling is a program administered by the Arkansas Department of Human Services' Division of Aging and Adult Services. The program requires nursing facilities and Assisted Living Facilities Level II to offer newly admitted residents and residents applying for Medicaid the opportunity to receive counseling regarding long-term care options that include alternatives to facility placement. Documentation of new admissions/offers of counseling must be submitted to the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
